My favorite part of owning CDs is being able to read through the included booklets, especially if there's extra material like commentary from the band included. Since most of the actual production information + lyrics are already well-documented online, I'm just going to be transcribing extra pieces of interest here.
I know that there's another website that fills this niche, but consider these more tailored to my interests.
Acid King - Busse Woods (1999, 2019 reissue) - A foreword about the inspiration behind the band/album name and the legacy of Busse Woods written by Lori S.
Alice in Chains - Music Bank (1999) - Includes a biography written by Peter Fletcher and track-by-track notes by Jerry Cantrell.
Iron Butterfly - In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida (1968, ATCO reissue) - A short description of the band and its members' history.
Jane's Addiction - Up From The Catacombs (2006) - A biography of the band's history written by music journalist Gil Kaufman.
Motörhead - Another Perfect Day (1983, 2001 reissue) - A short foreword about the band's situation before, during, and after the release of this album, written by music journalist Steffan Chirazi.
Nirvana - With The Lights Out (2004) - Starts with a comprehensive timeline of the band's history, followed by an anecdote by Thurston Moore of Sonic Youth, and a short writeup by Neil Strauss.
The Smashing Pumpkins - Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness (1995, 2012 reissue) - From the 2012 slimline reissue. Includes a foreword by David Wild and track-by-track notes by Billy Corgan.
Soundgarden - Echo of Miles: The Originals (2014) - From the one-disc version of Echo of Miles. A foreword from Kim Thayil about how the compilation was put together.
Talking Heads - Stop Making Sense (1984) - What I can only describe as "rules for life" and a description of the Stop Making Sense concert film.
